Making a Difference With ImageWork
Five Day Practitioner Training Course, May 2027

Come to Puglia, and take the time to step back from your everyday world and get a life-changing training in ImageWork in the company of like-minded people at our beautiful venue overlooking the sea. .

The course takes place over five days, with a total of 28 hours. It is open to practitioners, including psychotherapists, counsellors, consultants, coaches, supervisors, spiritual directors, and health professionals, and also to those who are not yet practitioners but wish to explore the possibilities of working with the imagination for themselves and for others.

This training can deepen and enhance your ability to make a profound difference in the life of others–and of course in your own life. This includes using ImageWork not only with your clients but also to help friends and colleagues in a more informal way, and, perhaps most important, as an integral and essential part of your everyday living.

The three different functions of ImageWork scripts are all essential to this process: namely, healing imagery, creative imagery, and transcendent imagery.

• The healing imagination exercises are used when there is a problem, an imbalance or disharmony on any level of the mind, body, emotion and spirit that needs transformation or resolution.
• The creative imagination exercises enable people to find the goals that are right for them, to engage the will to carry these through, and to resolve problems and use their resources to best advantage.
• The transcendent imagination exercises enable people to explore another more spacious dimension, to heal their relationship with life, death, and their deepest self and to find the balance and peace of a middle path.

More generally, you will be focusing on:

1. Deepening ImageWork skills, troubleshooting, and getting past impasses and stuckness
2. Considering ImageWork in your own context.
3. Creating an inclusive and democratic individual and group culture that nourishes the imagination.
4. Asking the kind of questions and extending the invitations that open up new visions and possibilities

5. Learning to use an ImageWork script in a creative way that meets the needs of the situation.

After completion of the course, participants will receive a Making a Difference with Imagework Practitioner Certificate with 28 CPD credits.

This course is accompanied by the comprehensive ImageWork training book for practitioners, ‘ImageWork: The Complete Guide to Working with Transformational Imagery‘ (PCCS Books), about which leading imagery author Martin Rossman has said “In my 50 years in the field this is the best book I have read about working with imagery for healing, creativity and personal transformation. A landmark book—I shall be studying it.” People who attend the course will be expected to have bought the book and read relevant portions prior to coming.
